I've been diving with these guys since we moved to the Sunshine Coast 15 years ago. Mike McKinnon and his team have built a truly professional outfit that values safety and fun. The team will guide you though any SCUBA experience you fancy, whether it be basic training, advanced diving courses, or just chilling out on any of the local dive sites that they know so well. The ex-HMAS Brisbane is a favourite dive site and a must-do experience just a short boat ride from the quayside directly at the new and well equipped Scuba World premises on Brisbane Road in Mooloolaba. If you are an experienced diver or just starting out, these are the 'go-to' guys here on the coast. Highly recommended.
Friday dive days are always special but when you add perfect conditions, incredibly calm seas, no wind and warm winter sun to the mix it just cant be better 🙂

Great staff with excellent skills and experience. Slick and efficient operation. Outstanding dive shop location that is easy to get to with good parking. I’ve been diving with Scuba World for 10 years and they are my go-to team for great diving.
I just recently learned to scuba dive with Scuba World and I have to say I've never felt safer doing something so dangerous and the 4 day idea is great as you don't feel rushed. I got very lucky with my class as there were only two other people, one being my dad (I'm a teenager by the way) so it was very one on one with my teacher Nat who was so amazing. Lots of people offered to help cary my gear as it was really heavy for me and I got treated the same as all the adults, not only was course educational but also very fun. I also had the most amazing experience diving with them at the EX-HMAS it is truly such a beautiful place and I have not felt unsafe during this whole process. I can't more highly recommend diving with Scuba World, if you're thinking about it I would just say jump in or maybe backwards roll and descend slowly.
Awesome team to dive with - special thanks to Mike (owner), Tim and Chris (instructors). Very organised and professional, fantastic dive conditions and water temp of 20% - pretty nice for middle of winter on the Sunny Coast. Can't wait to get back in the water again soon!
Thank you Scubaworld Team for a wonderful time celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the scuttled Ex HMAS BRISBANE. As always your customer service is above and beyond. The diving although a little cool had some wonderful sights. The Octopus was charming to see and the schools of different fish were great. My biggest highlight was the Eagle Ray. The change after TC Alfred has made the dive interesting to see the power of Mother Nature. Thank you all for a wonderful weekend.

Scuba World is a well equipped and safety conscious operation. Good facilities at the shop, including toilets shower change room, lockable storage and car parking out front. Spacious and comfortable dive boat with experienced crew.
Flinders Reef trip. Excellent crew and diving! Jake, Chris and Skipper Chris took us out on a wonderful adventure to Flinders Reef! 🐟🐠🐋 It was a bit chilly and breezy but their focus on safety and driver comfort meant the day was so much fun for everyone. The room on the boat was great, gear set up, water entries and exit very easy and help there if you needed. Excellent guiding on our dives and yummy food on surface intervals. All in all a great experience! Thanks Scuba World!!

Unfortunately the HMAS Brisbane was closed for maintenance but I had the opportunity to dive Barwon Banks, and it’s a must do for any experienced Advanced Open Water or above. When booking, Jasmine was really helpful with taking my numerous calls while booking. On the day we got great service, including snacks, and hot drinks between dives. Mike the owner was really friendly and good to talk to. My guide Tim was extremely experienced, and I felt safe and comfortable throughout the dive. I could go on and on, it was great.

I recently had the pleasure of diving with Scuba World Sunshine Coast, and it was an unforgettable experience! The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, ensuring that both beginners and experienced divers felt comfortable. The dive sites were breathtaking, showcasing vibrant marine life and stunning underwater landscapes. Safety was clearly a top priority, and the equipment provided was in excellent condition.
